Most firms see a tax problem and reach for a tax form. I see a case. That's because my career didn't start in accounting. It started in investigation.

My background is in criminology and law. I learned to build a file, read the fine print, track deadlines you can't miss, and think like the other side. In more than twenty years of claims investigation, I learned to gather the facts, test every story against the evidence, and find the real cause before anyone decides on a solution.

Then I went deep into tax and business. I earned my MBA in Accounting, worked in tax resolution, and spent years in operations, where I saw firsthand how businesses actually run, and how they break.

Working in tax resolution, I kept seeing the same thing: business owners with serious tax problems being pushed through a process built for individual tax returns. But a business tax problem is rarely just about a tax return or an IRS notice. Behind the tax debt, unfiled returns, and payroll problems, there were bad records, compliance failures, the wrong entity structure, and operations that had quietly fallen apart. Fix the notice without fixing the business, and the problem comes back.

I knew there had to be a better way. So I built one.

At The Fixer Firm, I run point on every case. I lead the investigation, diagnose what's really going on, and build the strategy to resolve it. I personally handle much of our business-case work, from entity and compliance problems to financial reconstruction and operational breakdowns. When a situation is complicated and the stakes are high, I figure out the path forward and see it through to closure.

I don't do it alone. Our team includes an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Public Accountant, along with dedicated case managers and client service support. Together we serve established business owners and high-earning professionals whose problems don't fit neatly into a box.
